Brick and Lace are a Jamaican R&B reggae fusion musical duo consisting of sisters Nyanda and Nailah Thorbourne. Originally Brick & Lace consisted of three sisters Nyanda,Nailah, and Tasha Thorbourne. Tasha left the group, but she continues to work behind the scenes and co-write songs for her sisters
Brick and Lace were signed by hip hopsinger-songwriterAkon to his record label, Kon Live Distribution. The duo has toured internationally, including Uganda and Tanzania. Their debut album, Love Is Wicked, had a limited release in various countries on September 4, 2007. The album spawned four singles, "Get That Clear (Hold Up)", "Never, Never", "Love Is Wicked" and "Take Me Back".

She was born Shauna McKenzie in the hillside community of August Town situated in the South Eastern side of Jamaica. The only daughter of a fairly large family of boys, she attended school locally up until 1992 when she migrated to Miami Florida.
The following artistes hold the distinction of being the awardees at the EME Awards ceremony held at The Jamaica Pegasus Hotel on Thursday, February 5, 2009. The highest honour went to Spice and Vybz Kartel who received the award for female and male DJ of the year respectively. Vybz Kartel also won for Song Writer/Lyricist of the Year.
